    Where are we staying?

We are staying locally at the YMCA camp located just 15 Mins from the church at Camp Kern.  Address is 5291 St. Rt. 350, Oregonia, OH 45054.  It is a very large camp with a lot of activities for us to do.  They have sand volleyball, basketball, gaga ball, lakes and ponds, open fields, places to hike, horses, 9 Hole Frisbee golf course, zip lines, Paintball, climbing stuff, plus so much more.  We will be staying in the Yurt village, which are round huts that are insulated with heat and AC.  We are also renting out the Wilderness Pavilion, which is right next to the Yurt Village.  We will have our services there and it is where you will shower and use the bathroom.  It is going to be a great time together in the beautiful fall weather and scenery.

The speaker for the weekend is Noah Doss.  He is the youth pastor at New Freedom and is a great speaker.  We have done many things with them already so most of you already know Noah and his youth group!

Will Ewing will be leading worship for our retreat.  He is an Assistant Worship Pastor at Be Hope Nazarene: Fairborn.  Will is very gifted musically and he will either be leading solo or with a band.  He is also Ashley Copes boyfriend.

Our meals will be provided by Camp Kern.  One meal the night we get into camp for the first time will be like a pizza party welcome to camp night all the rest will be provided by the camp.  Two Breakfasts, Two Lunches, and One Dinner.

    The Camp Kern Adventure Challenge:

We will be doing what is known and camp Kern as the Adventure challenge.  It’s like The Amazing Race but at their camp.  Each person will be placed on a team and they will run around the camp performing different goals, puzzles, climbing challenges, etc.  First team to accomplish them all will win.  This should take our group about 3 hours to complete.

    Fall Fabulous Five:

First 5 students to register for Retreat by paying online, and have all the forms filled out will receive: First dibs on seats to and from retreat, First dibs on who rides to and from retreat with them, first dibs on Yurt, First dibs on Bunk Mate, First in line for food all weekend long, First dibs on the extra events at camp before anyone else does, and a limited edition Fall Fab Five Hoodie!
